The development of soft drink products is currently experiencing extraordinarily rapid growth. However, in the process of making beverage products, things are still done conventionally, such as using manual water measurements. Therefore, this study aims to design a SCADA system based on PLC and IoT to monitor the beverage product-making process. The study used an experimental methodology consisting of several steps, including designing tools, installing equipment, making programs, and conducting program trials to be applied to tools to get the desired performance. The process of making beverage products starts with entering water and syrup into the mixer tank through pumps and valves to be stirred and heated. The composition of the ratio of water and syrup that enters the tank is adjusted as desired through the HMI SCADA. PLC will control the entire process of making beverage products. The level sensor is used to detect water entering the tank for production needs, and the RTD sensor is used to measure the temperature. From the study results, it was found that the process of making beverage products can work automatically and be monitored remotely using SCADA and the Internet of Things. © 2024 Author(s).
