Abstract

At this time, more energy supply is needed for human survival. However, other problems are pretty complex, namely environmental problems. This makes it necessary for researchers to obtain safe energy and has the lowest environmental impact. This study discusses heat energy storage by adsorption using Indonesian natural zeolite, a technology expected to resolve these two issues. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of adsorption and evaporation temperatures on adsorption test equipment, determine the effect of adsorption and desorption processes on variations in evaporation temperature in heat storage applications, and determine the effect of adsorption and desorption on variations in evaporation temperature on the amount of adsorbate that the adsorbent can absorb. The test uses a fin-tube-type adsorber with 12 passes and fins where the adsorber is inserted. The method used is an experimental experiment using adsorption test equipment with evaporation values and adsorption temperatures varying between 35°C to 55°C. This study determined that a more significant variation in temperature values will increase adsorption mass and a higher lifting temperature. © 2023 Author(s).
