This study aims to analyse the problem-solving skills of physical education students of Universitas Negeri Malang on the particle dynamics topic. The type of research method used is a descriptive quantitative. The test instruments included five description questions with indicators including problem description (useful description), concept introduction (physics approach), concept use (specific application of physics), mathematical process (mathematical procedure), and logical progression (logical progression). The average value of students' problem-solving skills on particle dynamics topic is 42.62% which is considered as sufficient category. From the five indicators tested, only one could be achieved well by students, the first indicator, which is describing the physical quantities tested regarding the topic of particle dynamics (useful description). © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc..
