The primary supporting facility on campus is parking. One of the state universities in the province of DKI Jakarta is Jakarta State University (UNJ). There is no doubt that the number of UNJ students attending school each year is increasing the need for parking, particularly on campus A, the major campus. Unfortunately, the increase in the number of students is not necessarily accompanied by the addition of parking infrastructure. This is evidenced by the results of research found that the car parking index at UNJ has reached 0.93 which means it is close to saturation. If the situation is not improved, the parking conditions at UNJ Campus A will exceed capacity. Simultaneously, UNJ is also collaborating with a private company to help regulate parking at UNJ Campus A. The regulation is based on e-parking technology that utilizes e-money cards. The expectation with parking regulation is to reduce the parking index and enhanced user experience based on sustainability perceptions. Based on these things, it is necessary to conduct a study to see whether parking regulation can achieve the two objectives above. Primary data was obtained by conducting field surveys with license plate survey methods and cordon counts while secondary data was obtained from UNJ parking inventory data. The results of this second phase of research are expected to provide an overview and recommendations on how parking management by utilizing technology can support sustainable development issues. © 2025 Author(s).
