Abstract

This study aims to develop innovative physics learning media using songs and video clips focused on the topics of temperature and heat. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method following the 4D model: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Initial needs analysis conducted at five high schools in Jakarta and surrounding areas revealed that 76.3% of students found physics challenging, while 78.9% considered it monotonous. Moreover, 100% of students expressed an interest in music, and 94.7% agreed on the value of developing physics learning media incorporating songs and video clips. Product assessments involved expert evaluations by physics and music education lecturers, achieving a 93.17% suitability rating, classifying the media as "highly appropriate."This learning media was then tested with students, showing a positive impact on engagement and understanding of physics concepts. The media, designed to integrate cognitive learning with creative elements, is accessible through provided video links and is intended as an alternative tool for physics educators and students alike. © 2026 Author(s).
