Abstract

Today's educational institutions must be ready to face the growing technological advances. Universities that have education study programmes have challenges in developing ICT as a learning process given to students who will become pre-service teachers. This research aims to develop virtual reality-based ICT to improve the teaching skills of pre-service teachers in science education. This research method uses the Borg and Gall development model, namely the Steps of Systems Approach Model of Education Research and Development. The results of this study showed that 83.75% of the average pre-service teacher rated well the virtual reality developed. Thus, this virtual reality product is considered suitable for use. Thus, this study has implications for pre-service teachers in improving their pedagogic and professional competence in schools. © 2025 Author(s).
