Magazines fall into the category of media that are interesting to read. The ability of scientific literacy that students must now have can be presented with physicsmagz media, which contains material and important information on physics learning materials to make it easier for students to understand. This study aims to observe the improvement of students' scientific literacy skills after the implementation of learning by using physicsmagz based on Contextual Learning (CL). This CL brings the material closer to everyday life, so it is easy to understand. Physicsmagz is presented with striking colors, attractive images, and a unique writing layout. The research method used is a quasi-experimental research design with a nonequivalent control group design. The study was conducted on high-school students in one school in the city of Serang. This study indicates an increase in students' scientific literacy skills using the physicsmagz Physics Magazine learning media based on Contextual Learning in the experimental class based on a gain score of 0.81 with a high category. It can be concluded that physicsmagz is very good at increasing students scientific literacy. © 2021 American Institute of Physics Inc.. All rights reserved.
