This study explores the impact of university environmental factors and personal factors of faculties on academic entrepreneurial intention. We contend that entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial culture as part of the university environment affect the attitude and intention of faculties to involve in academic entrepreneurial activities. We also investigate the effect of entrepreneurial self-efficacy on academic entrepreneurial intention. This study involved 130 faculty members of a public university in Indonesia as the respondents. To analyse the association among variables, SEM-PLS was employed. The results supported the argument about the role of orientation, culture, attitude, and self-efficacy as the determinants of academic entrepreneurial intention. The implication of the results is also discussed. © 2020 Primrose Hall Publishing Group.
